Editorial Policy

Every product description and health article on deltapharmacy.pk can influence a decision about someone’s health. This page explains the standards we hold that content to: who writes it, who checks it, where the facts come from, and what we will and will not publish.

1. Who writes and reviews our content

• Health and medicine content is drafted by our pharmacy content team and reviewed by a licensed pharmacist before publication.
• Our pharmacists are registered with the Sindh Pharmacy Council / Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. You can meet the team on our Our Pharmacists page.
• No content about a medicine’s uses, dosage, or safety is published without pharmacist sign-off.

2. Where our information comes from

We build product and health content from primary, verifiable sources, in this order of preference:

1. The DRAP-approved product label and manufacturer’s package insert for the specific product sold in Pakistan
2. DRAP notifications on pricing, recalls, and safety alerts
3. International references: WHO guidance, the British National Formulary (BNF), U.S. FDA and NIH resources, and peer-reviewed literature
4. Guidance from relevant Pakistani professional bodies

When we cite a statistic or an external claim in a health article, we link to the source and include its date. If a claim cannot be traced to a credible source, it does not go on the site.

3. What our content is, and what it is not

• Our content informs. It does not diagnose or prescribe. Every medicine page and health article directs readers to consult a doctor for decisions about their treatment, and dosage information for prescription medicines defers to the prescribing doctor.
• We describe both benefits and side effects, precautions, and interactions. We do not write promotional health claims that a product’s label does not support, regardless of commercial pressure.
• Sponsored or brand-supported content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labelled as such and held to the same review standard. Sponsors never get approval rights over medical facts.
• We write for real readers in Pakistan: plain English, Urdu terms where they help understanding, and local context such as climate, common illnesses, and DRAP pricing, rather than copied international boilerplate.

4. How content stays current

• Every page shows its “Last updated” date.
• Prices are re-verified against DRAP-notified prices and our purchase records on an ongoing basis. Each product page notes when its price was last verified.
• Medical content is reviewed at least every 12 months, and immediately when DRAP issues a recall, safety alert, or label change affecting a product we cover.
• Articles on seasonal topics such as dengue, flu, and heatstroke are refreshed before each season.

5. AI assistance disclosure

Our team may use software tools, including AI writing tools, to help draft or organize content. Regardless of how a draft is produced, every fact is checked against the sources in section 2, and every page passes human pharmacist review before publication. Responsibility for accuracy rests with the named reviewer, not with any tool.

6. Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and visibly. Corrected pages are updated with a note where the error was material to health decisions. To report an error in any content, email editorial@deltapharmacy.pk. We investigate every report and respond within 3 working days.

7. Independence

Delta Pharmacy sells the products it writes about. We manage that conflict openly. Rankings and “alternatives” lists are ordered by relevance (same salt, strength, availability, DRAP price), not by our margin. Out-of-stock honesty is policy. In any conflict between commercial interest and patient safety, our pharmacists’ duty is to the patient. That is the standard we ask our readers to hold us to.
